Parent council

We have an active Parent Council who meet at least once a term.  Parents/Carers are encouraged to volunteer or put themselves forward to be chosen as representatives of the Parent Council. All meetings are open and parents are welcome to attend.

Presently, the chairperson is Miss Katie Mary MacPherson.

We believe that parental support and partnership is an important factor towards a pupil’s success at school.

The role of the Parent Council is to:

support the school in its work with pupils

represent the views of all parents

encourage links between the school, parents, pupils, pre-school groups and

the wider community

report back to all the parents in the school (the Parent Forum)

Parent councils also have a role to play in:

The appointment of Head Teachers and Depute Head Teachers

School inspections

Our present Parent Council is:

Katie Mary MacPherson (Chair)

Lynnsay Stewart (Vice chair )

 Nicola MacKenzie (Secretary)

Oni Fraser (Treasurer)

Kenneth MacDonald (Parent)

Mickey MacCormick (Parent)

Fiona Menzies (Parent)

Kirsty Brennan (Depute Head Teacher)

Fiona MacInnes (Staff/Parent)
